Breed Description: A yorkipoo (also called a yorkapoo or yoodle) is a hybrid dog, bred for the first time in the United States, by crossing a Yorkshire Terrier and a poodle (in most cases the miniature poodle or toy poodle), or by breeding yorkipoo to yorkipoo.

Dog Breed Name: Yorkipoo, Yorkapoo, Yoodle, Yorki-poo, Yorkiepoo, Yorkie-poo

Temperament: Yorkipoos may range in height from 6-9 inches and may weight between 4 and 14 pounds. Depending on which parent the yorkipoo resembles, they may be hypoallergenic. These dogs may be bred from two purebred parents or two hybrid parents.

Living Condition: Apartment, Condo or House setting is adequate for the Yorkipoo breed.

Exercise Required: Medium. Like most active toy breeds the Yorkipoo needs it's daily exercise.

Life Expectancy: 12-15 years

Litter Size: 1-4 on average but depends on size of Mom and Dad and other factors

Grooming: They tend to have a smooth coat, of silky and wavy hair, and can come in a variety of colors and shades, including some with thicker, fuller coats and some with thinner coats that require less brushing.

Group: Designer or Hybrid dog breed

Recognized Registries: Though the Yorkipoo is a hybrid they can be registered with a designer breed / hybrid specific registry.

CKC = Continental Kennel Club is one such registry that registers Yorkipoo's.
