Bluetooth is a way of connecting with other users wirelessly via personal networks. This can be done with other devices like cameras, laptops and pc, or even personal digital assistants. To be able to use your Bluetooth the two things you want to connect together must be roughly 30 feet away from each other.
The best thing about Bluetooth is that you can connect all your Bluetooth enabled devices together at once, to one PC or Bluetooth enabled server. You can get everything you need using this technology and run your office or home office on a completely wireless network.
This technology runs on a 2.4 gigahertz band, which is perfect for what it is meant to do as it is readily available all over the world. However, when it was first manufactured Bluetooth devices started interfering with other devices like baby monitors, electronic garage doors and things of that nature, which also operate with a low frequency, but seeing that it was made up of better possibilities than the age old infrared, the makers of this new finding, started working day and night to sort out the tiny hic up.
After they had overcome their setback, the possibilities for Bluetooth were endless and looking at the rate it is growing today, it seems that the possibilities for this technology will always be endless.
Everyone wonders where the name came from: the makers of the technology named it thus, so it could correspond to a man called Herald Bluetooth who believed in diplomacy, his actions leading to warring party negotiating peace among each other. He was the first man to be able to encourage “wireless” communication, which makes the name Bluetooth, fit its purpose.
So, as I said before this technology keeps growing and by the time you read this there will probably be 10 thousand other things you can use Bluetooth for, however I would like to make it clear how versatile a Bluetooth enabled device can be. You can transfer files between devices, transfer any contact details or calendar appointments, and make reminders. Bluetooth can take the place of remote controls where infrared was traditionally used, and you can even send small advertisements from Bluetooth enabled devices to other established Bluetooth connections. The list is endless and hopefully someone will come up with a way to run electricity through Bluetooth - imagine the possibilities.
